 Misrepresented Sep 08, 2008
THis came up when I asked for Hindu chants. These are not Sanskrit chants although the title gives the impression of an Indian name. With the exception of one Shiva chant these are all Christian prayers.

En"chanting" sound Feb 08, 2007
I love Chloe Goodchild's voice. The chants that she selected for this CD are beautiful. This CD would be excellent for meditation, chanting circles, personal chanting, yoga, or personal enjoyment.
The only thing that was really disappointing was the few songs that are on the CD, but it is definitely worth adding to any new age collection. I gave it 4 stars because I prefer her other CD, "Fierce Wisdom" over this one, but it is still one worth owning.

 Wonderful - Grows on You May 06, 2001
This album didn't grab me the first time I played it, but I played it over and over until I learned to love it. At first, the sense of musicality, the very faint instrumentation, and the unusual use of her voice was all too strange for my young ears, which longed to hear something more melodic and "pretty". But I found myself continually putting the album in the CD player, sometimes absently meditating to it and sometimes finding that it made my spirit feel "thicker" or richer. It seemed that there was something genuinely enlightening in all of those meditative song/chants. I now consider this to be one of the most powerful and important CDs in the "spiritual" section of my CD collection. I love it, and I can't believe that I once found it "unpretty". Every time I hear it now, I'm moved.

The richness, range, versatility, and beauty of Goodchild's voice is stunning! Every selection is a unique gem, capable of evoking goose-flesh, smiles, or tears... or all three at once. Treat yourself to this one!
